Tandoor Indian Grill in Durham

The food at Tandoor is always delicious and plentiful. We always cater from them for parties and our guests are always praising the food. The owner's are really nice. When my colleagues are in mood for Indian food I take them to Tandoor for the buffet and they always enjoy it. I would highly recommend this place and definitely try them for their catering.

Omg it was the best​. Way better than any Indian in Raleigh or Durham I've tried so far. I'll go to no other Indian restaurant! And Mr. Dal was the best we loved his service and friendly and kind personality. Reminded me how much I missed India. Must go see for yourself won't be disappointed. Food had so much flavor.😁🤗

Delivered through Door Dash. This food was good and filling. However, i was a bit disappointed how watery the food itself was, to the point that I had to drain it while eating. I would probably give this place a shot in person.

Food was ok, but I feel like the dinner buffet was over priced, I paid almost 40.00 for 2 people. Also they hold events here and while dining the music was way to loud during what I assume was them setting up for a party the next day. 50/50 chance I'll return

Our new go-to local Indian restaurant! Especially for Sam's above and beyond service. We ordered food to go, but after getting home realized a couple minor items were missing. I called the restaurant and, without hesitation, the owner apologized and offered to immediately drive to our home with the missing items. Within 15 minutes, before we had even sat down to eat, he was at our door.He brought extra large portions of the missing food, and also treated us to an extra order of biryani. Everything we ordered was very tasty, but the best flavor of all was the great taste left in my mouth over Sam's "eager to please the customer" attitude.Way to go Sam! We will be back!

This is probably one of the best indian restaurants I have ever been to! Dont judge the food by the way the plaza looks! This is an amazing place and the staff is wonderful! Me and my partner come her all time!

I am not typically a big fan of Indian cuisine. I found myself at Tandoor for a going away lunch and figured I'd find some on the buffet I could tolerate. I was genuinely surprised to find that I was loving every bite. Spice and seasoning was rich but balanced. Everything bite was cooked to perfection. I have been converted. I will be eating a lot more Indian food and a lot of it will be here.

The one star is for the good food! The service was poor starting with the rude lady taking the order. I used a Groupon coupon when placing my order, and mentioned to the lady. Upon picking up my order, I was told the coupon is only valid for dine in!!! I requested a refund but in vain. So, before using your Groupon coupon talk to the place first and have them confirm it’s acceptance. Update: I called to talk to a manager, the same rude lady answered then rudely hung up on me when I mentioned to her disputing the charge and posting my honest review.

Food was excellent! Buffet was limited but compared to all the other Indian Restaurants the have popped up recently it was flavorful and well prepared with a very pleasant staff.

We are a small organization in the RTP area, we recently booked for Tandoor Banquet Hall. Everything was very clean, well organized, owner and staff were very helpful in making everything run smoothly. Our organization has rented from Tandoor for several years now hosting various events, we continue to return due to there exceptional customer services and always being so helpful that the events run smoothly. We have catered from their restaurant on multiple occasions, the food is always served hot, fresh and delicious. They have an extensive menu that can please any palate and diet (meat/vegetarian and vegan options). I highly recommend Tandoor.

Good food and good service!!

I’m here for the dinner buffet and the food sucks here. The worst food I have ever had in my life. There’s some birthday party going on and they didn’t care about the buffet food, instead they could have closed the buffet. The climax is even worse, I had to pay $20 for that nasty food. It’s better not to serve this kinda buffet if you can’t maintain.

I travel for a living, and this is some of the best Indian food I have ever had while I am out on the road. Their Mint Chutney is also excellent. The owner, his wife, and their nephew are extremely friendly and accommodating. Some of the nicest people I have ever met.

This food is AMAZING! I just tried almost everything at the buffet and oh my god these people know what they are doing! The chicken is the best I've ever had and I am a harsh critic of chicken. So so good!

Excellent food and service. I had the chicken Tikka and butter chicken as well as the spinach and rice with vegetables. Everything was absolutely fantastic - the taste of each was mouth watering and scrumptiously delicious. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

I am just in love with this restaurant. The staff are so helpful, the food is incredibly delicious, the variety of items is great and the atmosphere is one of love. The location is near my office and I am here at least once a week. I see so many negative reviews and I have never had a bad or even partially bad experience here.

I’ve been in the neighborhood for years now. I like coming here during the day for the buffet. They’re food is good and the Naan bread is awesome. They also have a regular menu you can order from. They’re very nice and dining area is relaxing

My dad and I have made a tradition to spend time together and try out the various Indian restaurants in our area. In all the 10 years we have been doing this, this place continues to be the best. Fantastic food, clean, with friendly and gracious hosts. Excited to return!

This is the best spot to get Indian in the area. The food is always made to order and served hot!!! I've been coming to this location since I was a baby and never stopped! The owner cares about each of his customers and knows them all personally. Excellent service and amazingly authentic Indian food. The flavors and spices will have you returning frequently...trust me!!! I've tried several spots in the area and none of them can compare to Tandoor!

Went for dinner on a Friday night and enjoyed everything. Gohbi was amazing. Lamb and paneer were good. Would definitely go back.They do have an events space in the back but it is not disruptive to dining as other reviewers have claimed.

Food was very flavorful! We celebrated with a family member their birthday at this location and he wanted to return the next day. Our waiter was punctual and made just the right suggestions for us.

First time visiting this restaurant. Service was good and we enjoyed our meal. We will be back for sure.

Today they had a Vegan Buffet & I must say this was one of the most delicious Indian restaurants I have ever eaten from. I will definitely be back for sure. I am a Vegan chef myself & now am open to making more indian dishes for my family

Food is over priced here. Quantity is also less. Taste is not so good. No customer service. Only one person was there to do all the work from taking the order, attending the phone, taking care of to go orders etc.

My favorite restaurant at Durham-NC! Great idea the menu options of vegetarian or not meals. Good website. Good quality vs price. Good costumer service.
